David has been involved in photography sine he was about 8 years of age. 

By the age of 13, David had his own darkroom and was developing Black & White and E6 (slide) film and printing black & white images.

In the mid - 1980’s David worked for a major photographic agency as a freelance photographer.  It was during this time that David specialised as a martial arts photographer.

During the 1990’s David had a change of career and in 1998 while David was working in the USA he was asked to photograph the training of Law Enforcement & Private Security Officers for the company whom he was working for.  

This got David back in to photography and following his return from the USA her decided to return to photography. 

In 2001 David qualified as a Portrait photographer with Barrett & Coe (Norwich) and at this time established Photography by David Hastings.

David now provides a comprehensive service as a social photographer, also expanding to providing Commercial, Events and Press & PR photography services.

David is a qualified Wedding photographer with the Guild of Photographers and an active member of The Societ of Wedding & Portrait Photographers.
